through an Act of the Provincial Legislature. The Council i s to advise and report
to the Government on issues concerning women and make recommendations re proposed
legislation. She i s the rural representative on this Council of fourteen members,
and was chairperson of the Immigrant and Native Women Study undertaken by the
Council. She has proven a worthy representative to present the issues and voice
the needs and concerns of to- day's rural women.
