MRS. JOHN BROWN
Mrs. John Brown was presented with a L i f e Membership
i n November 1954 by Brumheller- Handhills Constituency.
She i s a charter member of the oldest branch i n the
province, having joined the Verdant Valley W. I. at the organi
z a t i o n meeting i n 1912. Her l i f e story i s most interesting.
She writes:
" I was born at Tyne Valley, Prince Edward Island; i n
1880. As my father, Reverend John Goldsmith, was a Methodiat
minister, we l i v e d i n many different parts of the Maritime
Provinces. I attended high school i n Alberton, P. S. I., then
went to Prince of Wales College at Charlottetown i n 1898- 1900.
