MRS. H. G. ( GORDON) RIDLEY
To t r a v e l to meetings through mud, snow or d r i f t i ng
sand; to he an a c t i v e member when weary or i n sorrow i s
not easy, but Edna R i d l e y has done a l l t h i s and has counted
i t as one of the blessings of a long and busy l i f e . Here
l e t us pay t r i b u t e to her husband, Gordon R i d l e y , who has
been her steadfast supporter i n a l l her W. I. endeavors.
Edna May Myers was born at Shelbourne, Ontario, on
October 31, 1889, the daughter of S i l a s and Jane Myers, both
of B r i t i s h ancestry. She came west with her parents and on
J u l y 11, 1912, married Harvey Gordon R i d l e y . This marriage
was blest with two c h i l d r e n : Wilda ( Mrs. C. H. Roland) and
Ivan whose t r a g i c death i n 1939 brought deep sorrow t o t h e ir
home.
The Ridleys farmed i n the Montpelier d i s t r i c t south-
