to twelve, nine sons and three daughters. One son d i e d i n
i n f a n c y hut the other eleven grew up t o become f i n e young
men and women. Needless to say t h i s large f a m i l y meant
much baking and Mrs. Campbell, at the peak time of h e r l i f e ,
baked bread every other day u s i n g up a one hundred pound sack
of f l o u r every week.
She r e j o i n e d the Women's I n s t i t u t e i n 1929 and has
served f a i t h f u l l y since that time, although an a t t a c k o f
a r t h r i t i s has handicapped her i n the l a t e r years.
She received her L i f e Membership on the o c c a s i o n o f
the 40th Anniversary o f the Round H i l l Women's I n s t i t u t e with
Mrs. T. H. Howes, P r o v i n c i a l President, making the presenta
t i o n , i n August 1958.
Mrs. Campbell i s t r u l y a pioneer and Round H i l l ¥. 1.
