MHS. W. J . 31SHELL
Mrs. W. J . B i s h e l l was born Frances O c a l l a Eugate,
the seventh child' of John Wesley and Mary Ann Eugate, on
March 28 ? 1888 at Hiohmomd, Kansas. She has l i v e d a l l
her l i f e on farms. After attending the country school,
she took her teacher's t r a i n i n g at G- irard, Kansas, and
obtained her c e r t i f i c a t e . She taught f o r two years u n t il
her marriage i n March 1910 to Walter B i s h e l l.
The B i s h e l l f a m i l y moved to A l b e r t a i n 1912 and
a f t e r spending the winter at Delburne, they took a homestead
two miles west of L o y a l i s t . Seven c h i l d r e n were born to
t h i s marriage, s i x of whom s u r v i v e . A l l are married and
l i v e i n A l b e r t a but one. There are s i x t e e n grandchildren.
Both Mr. and Mrs. B i s h e l l have been h i g h l y respected c i t i z e ns
of the L o y a l i s t community. Mrs. B i s h e l l i s a c t i v e i n the
Veteran United Church and the V/ omen's A u x i l i a r y.
