Mrs. Charles Andrew Q u a i l.
Berniee E i l e e n Quail ( nee Tronnes) was born at Mew l\ iorway, A l b e r t a ,
November 28th, 1920. She received a l l her schooling there, with the
exception of grade eleven, which she took at Rockyford High School.
A f t e r s e c r e t a r i a l t r a i n i n g , she worked i n Calgary u n t i l her marriage
to Charles Andrew Quail on August 1st, 1942. The remaining war years
were spent i n Eastern Canada, where Charlie was a F l i g h t Engineer
I n s t r u c t o r with the A i r Force. When the war ended, they returned t e
take over the Q u a i l farm at Round H i l l . They are s t i l l there,
b u s i l y engaged i n g r a i n and dairy farming. Their daughter Susan,
was born i n 1945, and t h e i r son Kevin i n 1949.
Berniee joined the Round H i l l Women's I n s t i t u t e i n the Spring of
1946, and has been most a c t i v e i n I n s t i t u t e work ever since. She
held a l l o f f i c e s i n her Branch, with the exception of Treasurer.
