In December 1963, the Jackson Women's I n s t i t u t e was organized
at the home of Mrs. Robertson, and sue became the f i r s t President
of t h i s new Branch. Mrs. Robertson completed four years as Con-s
t i t u e n c y oonvener. Mae x i r s t two years l o r tixe Dlcisuury oonstx—
tuency, and a f t e r trxe Constituency was divided, she continued as
Convener of Didsbury West Constituency.
In 1963, Mrs* Robertson was elected Director of D i s t r i c t 5,
and served s u c c e s s f u l l y i n t h i s Office for two years. Mrs.
Robertson i s a very w i l l i n g and active member, and i s very busy
with Centennial p r o j e c t s i n the Coiooiunity.
The members of the Jackson / ifomen's I n s t i t u t e honored Mrs.
Robertson with a L i f e membership i n the . alberta Women's
I n s t i t u t e s l a s t A p r i l , 1967, i n r e c o g n i t i o n of her f o r ty
years of f a i t h f u l service to home and Country.
The Robertson family has always been a c t i v e i n Ohuroh and
Community a f f a i r s . I t was a great pleasure to t h e i r many
f r i e n d s , when i n 1959 , they received' the Master family award.
They have two sons, Donald, a Graduate i n a g r i c u l t u r e of
Xiii e U n i v e r s i t y of . alberta, i s married, and i s farming with
xxis father. Gordon, a Graduate of the Calgary School of
Technology, i s a l s o married, and i s farming.
