APPLIED By: COTTONWOOD W. L Dne hundred years of Women's istitutes was celebrated at the ottonwood - Gordon Hall on ebruary 19, 1997 by the OTTONWOOD WOMEN'S INSTITUTE embers and guests. A tasty supper was served illowed by a fact and fun history of times and changes since the first meeting which was organized by Adelaide Hoodless and held on February 19, 1987 in Stoney Creek, Ontario. Musical selections by the lovely choir brought back memories of yesteryears. A Klondike character, a Charleston dancer, and even Elvis, who put in a surprise appearance, added to the fun. Alberta Women's Institutes President, Doris Northey was a special guest. Cottonwood W. I. President, Blanche Cunningham presented Dorothy Webb with a branch life- membership.
