have large family gatherings, no
matter what the occasion.
Bernice was very active in the
Botha community for her entire
life. She was an active member
of the Botha Women's
Institute, the Botha Floor Curling
Club, the Botha Senior's Center
as well as attending bingo and
many many card parties.
Funeral services were held at
the Botha United Church on
Wednesday, Feb. 28th, 2001 at
2 p. m. with the Rev. Orilla
Bogart officiating. The congregational
hymns were " Safe In
The Arms Of Jesus," " What A
Friend We Have In Jesus" and
" Softly And Tenderly, Jesus Is
Calling" Evelyn Shursen sang
the solo " In The Garden" with
Scott Pfeiffer accompanying.
The active pallbearers were Ken
Hart, Dennis Hinkle, Ted Hart,
Doug Mereska, Jim Skocdopole
and Mark Greenlee. The honorary
bearers were Dan and
Marie Barnec, Mike and Ella
Roth, Jean Hankins, Flow Iskiw,
Muriel Forrester, Vera Davies
and Brian and Margaret Lewis
and everyone in attendance.
The interment took place at the
Woodland Cemetery, Botha. A
reception and fellowship followed
at the Botha Community
Center. As an expression of
sympathy, memorial contributions
may be made to the
Woodland Cemetery, Botha, AB
in care of Brennen Funeral
Home, P. O. Box 193, Stettler,
AB TOC 2LO, who were entrusted
with the funeral arrangements.
