( b) These officers, w i t h the D e p u t y M i n i s t e r of A g r i c u l t u r e , a n d an officer of
the D e p a r t m e n t , s h a l l c o n s t i t u t e the A d v i s o r y B o a r d , each member of w h i c h shall
report at the a n n u a l c o n v e n t i o n.
( c) T w o D i r e c t o r s , one of w h o m shall be the P r o v i n c i a l P r e s i d e n t , shall be
e l e c t e d at the C o n v e n t i o n , b i e n n i a l l y , t o serve o n t h e E x e c u t i v e B o a r d of t h e Feder­ated
W o m e n ' s I n s t i t u t e s of C a n a d a .
( d) The P r o v i n c i a l P r e s i d e n t , V i c e - P r e s i d e n t , a n d S e c r e t a r y s h a l l constitute
a n E x e c u t i v e C o m m i t t e e , w i t h power to t r a n s a c t r o u t i n e business, and to take
such a c t i o n as m a y be necessary o n m a t t e r s a r i s i n g between a n n u a l meetings; they
s h a l l meet at the call of t h e President or S e c r e t a r y - T r e a s u r e r as c i r c u m s t a n c e s re­quire,
a n d s h a l l have power t o f i l l a n y v a c a n c y o n the A d v i s o r y Board1 for the u n ­e
x p i r e d time, a n d t o appoint special c o m m i t t e e s for s p e c i a l subjects.
A R T I C L E V I I .— E L E C T I O N.
( a) A l l e l e c t i o n s for P r o v i n c i a l officers s h a l l be b y b a l l o t , after p r e v i o u s v e r b al
n o m i n a t i o n s , for a t e rm of t w o years.
( b) A m a j o r i t y of t h e votes cast shall be necessary to a choice.
( c) N o officer s h a l l be e l i g i b l e to the same office for more t h a n two consecutive
terms, except the S e c r e t a r y - T r e a s u r e r , who may be r e t a i n e d i n d e f i n i t e l y by u n ­animous
v o t e of t h e C o n v e n t i o n b o d y .
('/) N e w l y elected officers s h a l l enter u p o n their r e s p e c t i v e duties at the ad­j
o u r n m e n t of t h e C o n v e n t i o n at w h i c h t h e y were elected.
A R T I C L E V I I I .— A M E N D M E N T S.
( a) T h i s C o n s t i t u t i o n m a y be amended at a n y a n n u a l m e e t i n g b y a t w o - t h i r ds
v o t e of v o t i n g delegates present, p r o v i d e d that the p r o p o s e d amendments have been
s u b m i t t e d i n w r i t i n g at the p r e v i o u s a n n u a l meeting, or b y the u n a n i m o u s v o t e of
a l l present.
( b) B y - l a w s a n d s t a n d i n g rules m a y be adopted, amended or repealed at any
a n n u a l m e e t i n g b y a t w o - t h i r d s vote.

A R T I C L E I .— D U T I E S OF O F F I C E R S .
( a) T h e P r o v i n c i a l President shall preside at all meetings of the P r o v i n c i al
O r g a n i z a t i o n , a n d at the A d v i s o r y B o a r d a n d the E x e c u t i v e C o m m i t t e e meetings.
She s h a l l appoint all P r o v i n c i a l C o n v e n e r s of S t a n d i n g C o m m i t t e e s , subject to the
a p p r o v a l of the A d v i s o r y B o a r d , and shall have general s u p e r v i s i o n of the work
throughout the P r o v i n c e.
( b) I n the absence of the President it s h a l l be the d u t y of the V i c e - P r e s i d e nt
t o p e r f o rm the duties of the P r e s i d e n t , also t o assist her i n d e v i s i n g a n d e x e c u t i ng
plans of w o r k .
( c) It s h a l l be the d u t y of t h e D i s t r i c t D i r e c t o r , w h o b y v i r t u e of office is V i c e -
President of the P r o v i n c e , to a t t e n d meetings of the A d v i s o r y B o a r d ; to have a
general s u p e r v i s i o n of t h e w o r k i n her D i s t r i c t , a n d t o a r r a n g e for t h e a n n u a l D i s t r i ct
Conference, after c o n s u l t i n g w i t h the P r o v i n c i a l President. She s h a l l , as far as
possible, assist the C o n s t i t u e n c y C o n v e n e r i n her d i s t r i c t i n o r g a n i z i n g n ew B r a n c h e s,
a n d endeavor to foster a n d s t i m u l a t e the W . I . s p i r i t .
( d) The S e c r e t a r y - T r e a s u r e r s h a l l keep a n accurate r e c o r d of the proceedings
of the A d v i s o r y B o a r d , the E x e c u t i v e C o m m i t t e e , a n d the m i n u t e s of the a n n u al
c o n v e n t i o n . She s h a l l h a v e charge of a l l d o c u m e n t s a n d papers r e l a t i n g t o the b u s i ­ness
of the o r g a n i z a t i o n . She s h a l l conduct a l l correspondence of the P r o v i n c i al
O r g a n i z a t i o n , and shall keep a correct list of a l l B r a n c h e s b e l o n g i n g thereto, of
P r o v i n c i a l Officers, C o n s t i t u e n c y C o n v e n e r s , a n d the C o n v e n e r s of S t a n d i n g C o m ­mittees.
( c) She shall receive a n d h o l d all moneys b e l o n g i n g t o the P r o v i n c i a l O r g a n ­i
z a t i o n , a n d keep an i t e m i z e d account of a l l receipts and d i s b u r s e m e n t s ; shall
p a y all accounts a c c o r d i n g t o i n s t r u c t i o n of A d v i s o r y B o a r d . She s h a l l close her
books i n sufficient t i m e before the date set for the a n n u a l C o n v e n t i o n t o a l l ow pro]> er
