visiter were present. It was decided
to attend, as a group, the
charty bazaar at the Mall in
November. A rug is being
hooked as a winter project. The
winter family swimming night
at the Red Deer pool has begun.
A Hallowe'en party was held
at the Hub for all children in the
district and sponsored by

Twenty below weather does not deter the
enthusiasm for the regular monthly family
swim night at the Red Recreational Centre,

past four and one- half years the bp— th has
rented the indoor swimming pool and lounge I
once a month during the winter months from
October to Apiil A minimum charge with)
special family rates cover rental costs. Following
the one- hour swim, coffee
supplied by the members and
joyed in the lounge.
The success of the project is partially due
to the skills learned from regular

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Brown and
family. He has been on a farm
working holiday at Sexsmith
fcr six months.
Congratulations to Mr. and
Mrs. John Pope on the birth of
a daughter.
The Pine Lake History Book
meeting was held at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Beckingsale. .
R. Beckingsale was elected the
chairman: Mrs. Chris Lawrence
as secreary- treasurer; Mrs. R.-
Brown as editor and Mrs. E.
Pierce as assistant editor. Mrs.
J Warke is the publicity chairman.

was held at the
Pine Lake Community centre
for the Pine Lake Wl members
and their families in the form
of a turkey and ham supper.
Games were played afterwards
and Miss Marjorie Brown
showed slides of her trip Lo
Switzerland.
The Christmas meeting of tlte
Pine Lake was held at the home
of Mrs. Roy Clutton as an evening
meeting. Mrs. Dennis
Buckler was co- hostess. Mrs.
Eric Pierce was presented with
her 10- year award for perfect
attendance for 10 consecutive
years. Several other members
received one- year perfect attendance
awards, me ne*

of their 25th wedding anniversary

several successful jelly- making

for a 45th wedding anniversary
dinner held in honor of Mr. and
Mrs. F. Dallaire of Burnt Lake,
parents ol Mis. Brown. All the
family was in attendance and
included Mr and Mrs. R. Clutton,
Mr. and Mrs. R. Schofer,
Mr. and Mrs. N. Cunningham,
and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dallaire.
Their 12 grandchildren
were also present Mr. and Mrs.
H. Comer were also dinner
